Powwow

We went to the powwow today. The kids were crazy and it was raining off and on , but I still wanted to dance as soon as I heard the music and saw the jingle dress dancers. I thought I could do it too until I remembered the arthritis. Oh well, my baby is being weaned (that makes me the wean-er and her the wean-ee) so I will be able to take the medication soon. Although, I am not sure how I feel about taking a chemotherapy medication. It would be nice to be pain free though My thumb is swollen larger than the knuckle now.

Oh yeah

WE WAZ ROBBED!!! The USA should've had the win, not the draw.

Next Wednesday though everything will be right in the world again, I can root for England instead of for Algeria.

Quidditch Again

Ohhhhh we lost! I can't believe it. I am super competitive. I made my poor DH stay up and watch the baby while I played. He got home from work just as the match was starting He could barely keep his eyes open! Oh well...

Good news my package is on its way. I mailed it yestersday and it is scheduled to land on Monday. I guess I should go and let my DH get some sleep while it is quiet in the house since the demon children are visiting their dad. I hope they go home soon. Isn't that an awful thing to think about children. The oldest one is the worst. They used to go to the shelter for respite care, but the shelter banned him, they couldn't handle him. He is soooo bad and he is ONLY 3 1/2 years old!!

I went to the "Coolest Small Town in America" (Ely, MN) today and found a nice little yarn shop with gorgeous yarns! No Red Heart or Lion Brand, not that there is anything wrong with them, but they aren't for every project and that is all we have around here. There are two yarn stores that carry a different selection of yarns and they are both an hour away, in opposite directions!!

This week, we got our garden started. We planted one garden box and my husband built another 6.5 foot box and a small box. Next up is potatoes in a stack of tires! I can't wait. We have Yukon Gold and Russet Burbank. I looked for red seed potatoes but both places that sell seed potatoes in town are out and I don't want to go driving across northern Minnesota looking for them. I have more ideas than I have space for and I will just be tempted to try something else.

Oh my poor baby!

She fell off the bed on Wednesday night. My husband and I were getting ready for bed when Makenzie decided she was going to get off the bed! She went over head first and landed on her face!! It was so scary. I relive it everytime I look at her poor carpet-burned nose! We rushed her to the hospital but luckily she was okay, no skull fractures or concussions.

Motivation

So, as I start my weightloss journey, I find that motivation is the key...It's the key to not eating junk, it's the key to not eating outside of my calorie range and it's the key to getting up and going for a walk even though my arthritis is inflamed and it hurts to walk. I decided that my arthritis is not going to get better if I sit around doing nothing. I will only gain more weight, which will make me put more pressure on my joints and make me want to do even less. See the vicious cycle here?

I came across a blog called priorfatgirl.com somehow and it was this woman, Jen from Minneapolis, who has lost almost 100 pounds in 2 years. She suffered a horrible, horrible tragedy the day before her final weigh-in; her mom was hit by a car when she was out walking and passed away. ANYWAY, I added her blog to my Google Reader and preceeded to look for more blogs. On her site is a guy who challenged Jen to do 99 minutes on the stairmaster. He posted the reason why on his blog, It is so incredibly moving, I had to repost it here. I cannot believe how unbelievibly motivated and motivating people can be.

I started tracking what I eat and how much I exercise on Sparkpeople on Monday. I love this site. I also got the free app for my blackberry; which is super nice, because I can look up any food before I eat it.

One of my goals is to drink more water, so I am aim for 10 glasses a day. Luckily we have a water service, so I don't have to drink our nasty tap water or throw 5 plastic bottles away.

If I stick to my plan everyday for two weeks, I get to buy myself a Hydracoach. I am super excited. I wish All my stuff wasn't in storage, so I could have my Plastic Starbucks cup that looks like their cold drink to go cup, complete with green straw and everything.

Okay that's enough rambling. I will try to post some transfiguration homework before tomorrow night as well.

First Homework

We got our first homework for the term.

We are to list the three characters we picked for our kits and why we like them.

So first up is Fleur Delacour-I am learning french and I love anything and everything french! Eiffel towers, Coq au Vin, Cafe au lait, everything! I also love that Fleur stood by Bill, with no hesitation, even after he got bit.

Next is Bellatrix Lestrange- I just love her for her extreme craziness. She is sooo out there, my cousin and I attract people like her. Also, she knows who she is and doesnt apologize to anyone for it. She does what she wants, when she wants it.

Third is Nymphadora Tonks-I love her ability to change her looks at will. How awesome would it be to be able to change your hair color just by thinking of it?

So, real life intruding for a post...Ugh, my poor DH (maybe Yoda speak would make this better) an ulcer, I think he has. Poor baby, only 29 he is.

Not dealing with the pyscho sister-in-law, a good thing we had. With their parents, back has she moved. Of course, to her ex boyfriend's her kids have gone. Not sure what happened, husband hit her, MIL says. Psycho sister-in-law, pathalogical liar, she is. Wonder, do wife beaters wait 2 years, I do. Whatever, care I do not. Sad, I am, because now deal with her I will have to.

Her, where we live, nobody better bring. Inside my house, not allowed is she. Care if they drove 200+ miles, I do not...

My other hobbies include reading and baking. I love King Arthur Flour, it is the best ever. As far as reading goes, I love Sidney Sheldon, Janet Evanovich, Tennesse Williams, and Mary janice Davidson. I like Twilight, but I haven't read the last book yet. Also, I LOVE stitch markers. I tend to knit with needles 7 and under, but all are welcome! (If you also like stitch markers, there is a group on Ravelry Mark the Spot It is a swap, but the only thing you need to send is 6 handmade stitch markers. They do not need to be hand made by you, just handmade by somebody.)

So, last Tuesday I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes. The clinic gave me a meter and set up appointments with a diabetes educator and the dietician. I net with the diabetes educator yesterday and based on my numbers over the weekend, she started me on insulin.

I had to take my first shot yesterday. Aut 3:16 has type 1 diabetes so I told him I was scared and asked him if it hurt. He was so grown up about it and told me that if I stuck it in straight it wouldn't hurt. I wanted to know if it hurt worse than picking your finger. My crazy son said that popping a pimple hurts worse! He is sooo funny. Turns out he was right, it didn't hurt, but I am used to giving him shots and not myself. I stuck it in and wasn't holding the plunger. Well, hopefully, next time I will get it right. Seems I will have lots of practice. I meet with the diabetes educator next monday, and she seems to think that I will need insulin with my meals as well as overnight. YUCK!!!

Today I meet with the dietician, hopefully this will be painless...

The week has gone by so fast.

I haven't gotten any sewing done this week. Hopefully, we are getting a new car (not new new, but used.). We are almost done paying off the two garages we owe for fixing our Eclipse, the last few times it broke down. I can hardly wait.

On our Upper Midwest meet and greet, we went to the Yarn Garage in Rosemount. I had never meet Steven before, but I am in awe! That man is AMAZING! He had the cutest toddler jacket in his store. It was the Elizabeth Zimmerman Baby Surprise Jacket, but he added a ruffle around the collar, down the front and around the sleeves. It was gorgeous! He made it in Sirdar Denim Ultra in Pink Marl. It is absolutely divine, he named it the diva jacket and is it ever!

I started my first baby quilt on Thursday. Yesterday I got the front panel finished. Today, I bought Warm and Natural batting from Joann's. I got 3 yards for $17! I love the feel of the batting. It feels soooo warm.

I have been sewing like crazy. I have 12 baby legs done, over half my diapers are completely finished with velcro and everything. I have a lot more to do though, I have the crib bumper to sew along with the sock monkey blanket and dust ruffle. I need to start on the next size diapers, although I need more Warm and Natural batting for those. I saw this gorgeous toddler dress a women made out of her husband's button down shirt, but I guess I don't need to be worrying about toddler clothes!!

I took two days off of work this week and forgot to do my homework.

My mom moved today. 3 1/2 hours away! I can't believe it.

I sewed 20 diapers during the past two days. My cousin brought me her serger. I've never used a serger before. She gave me a quick lesson yesterday, but when I tried it today, it only cut the edge, it didn't sew the seam closed!! Oh well, I guess she will have to come over for another lesson!

I went shopping with Elle today. I had so much fun. I got sock money fabric for a diaper and we ate shrimp. We also went to 3 different yarn shops. Depth of Field was great! Can't wait to do it again!

Psycho Sister-in-Law AGAIN!!!

My sister-in-law is becoming more and more psycho! I don't know what I am going to do.

She has accused my DH of threatening her and/or her kids (the first time she said it, it was only her that was threatened. Later on in the conversation she accused him of threatening her kids.) She called her father and told him that my DH was laughing in the background when a former landlord called her and tole her she needed to pay him the back rent she still owes.

She also threatened to file a restraining order on him and the former landlord. I don't know what proof she has. My DH hasn't wanted anything to do with that sick b*tch, since July. He doesn't call her or go to her house. In fact, on Christmas, he never said one word to her the entire evening.

Their father is just as bad, at least I know where she gets her complete lack of responsibility for her actions. She told her father that the former landlord threatened to mess up her car if she didn't follow through on paying him (AGAIN), her father had the nerve to call my DH and tell him that if anything happens to the b*tches car that he holds my DH responsible and will mess up our car in retaliation. After his father told his mother what he did, she yelled at him and he called my DH back. he NEVER apologized. Just asked my DH if he was alright. Now he wants to act like everything is okay. Yeah right...

After all that, I learn that my DH actually gave his increasingly insane sister our address, so she could file the restraining order. I am 4 months pregnant, I am worried about what this lunatic could decide to do. I told my DH not to tell me that he doesn't think she would try to hurt our baby, because he didn't think she would make up all the shit she has, including accusing him of threatening her. Neither one of us has even wanted her around or even in our lives at all.

I don't know what to get him and I certainly don't know what I want. Somehow a DVD called "The Rock: The Most Electrifying Man in Sports Entertainment" was released in June and NOBODY told me!! How could this happen. I love The Rock, especially from his WWE days. He is hilarious. Well, all is right in the world now. My DH took me to Best Buy after work and got the 3 disc set for me. I can't wait to watch it.

He also got me David Cook's new CD. Yay!

Tomorrow, BRET "THE HITMAN" HART is going to be at MOA signing copies of his book. My DH has the day off of work and he is going to pick me up so we can be there before 6!

I know I sound like some kind of wrestling watching freak, but come on I'm from Minneapolis. My grandmother was so cool, she knew all the old AWA guys and would take me to see them wrestle at the old Civic Center when I was just a little thing.

I remember Nick Bockwinkle, Vern Gagne, Jessie the Body, and Hulk Hogan from a time when I could barely walk! My uncle Beanie used to pose like Hulk Hogan and ask me who he has and it never failed that I would say Jessie the Body! It wasn't until I was second grade that I could answer him right. So, now I have this weird complex regarding Hulk Hogan and my uncle. Lets just say I am really glad Hulk retired from wrestling cuz I could never watch him getting beat up. It freaked me out.

My grandma knew a lot of people. Country western singers, wrestlers, and the MN Vikings. In fact, she used to sew their jerseys. I got to meet Jerry Burns. Somewhere floating around is a picture of me wearing Tommy Kramer's jersey grinning from ear to ear. It came down past my knees, I may have been about 11 years old and I already was crazy about him. My older cousin would tease me every monday, that she had gone to detox and played spoons with Tommy Kramer.

Good times, good times. I must remember to post someday about tracking the Dallas Cowboys all over town and running around on the practice field at Winter Park and how even though, sadly, my grandmother had already passed away; she helped me get the information on what hotel Troy Aikman was staying at so we could go a hunting...

I am really looking forward to a time when I am not tired and/or crabby. There were several times today that I wanted to cry, scream and throw a good old-fashioned temper tantrum. I mean laid out on the floor, screaming and kicking. Haha, that is funny.

I have this project at work, that isn't supposed to be my project, but has somehow become my project. I don't want it. I don't care how noble and full of good it is. I DO NOT WANT IT. I was repeatedly told that I would ONLY have to post some things on our donor website. That's it! Nothing else. Oh, and I would have lots of time do get it done, weeks, if not months. Well, when the time came, I had 2 days. The information was not complete. Organizations were not qualified to be included. So, I had to go back and research these organizations (52!) and get their information. I did not have time to get them qualified through our process, but I at least got them entered. Then I had to load all 52 organizations on two different websites, by cutting and pasting, after I turned each pdf into an html document. Not hard, but boring and time consuming.

Now, people are wanting to give to these organizations (the whole purpose of the project). All of a sudden, I'm supposed to keep track of all of these organizations, who is giving to them, and how much they are giving. I enter between 100-200 grants a week. I don't want to try and remember these few. The has been no communication as to what is expected. Nobody even bothered to tell me how they wanted them entered, other than consistently. Consistently? As in enter every grant (duh) or enter them the same way (ok, how? what information?). After trial and error, I got 30 or so entered, checked, and corrected after the powers that be decided how they wanted them entered. I hate this project, I hate everybody associated with it, I am ready to hurt them. I finally calm down, stop thinking about it and then I hear the girl who is supposed to be in charge of this stinking project on the phone with somebody, telling them that this is MY project. I am going to be the one to go to if they need information, reports, etc on this project. I am keeping track of everything!

Anybody know where to hide the bodies?

Today was our annual benefit meeting at work. Yuck! I don't wanna be an adult. All of this is too much. Choice, elect, preferred, premier, whatever. There are too many decisions to make. Do I go for a high deductible plan, knowing that I am going to spend a lot next year on healthcare? Do I stay with my healthcare now, even though the payments are going up like 25% and the copays are going up while the benefits are going down. This all sucks. I need a nap.

I don't know if I will make it. I am sitting here at work, not working, just yawning. Yawning so much I have tears coming out of my eyes.

I went to the doctor today for my first OB appointment. I have to cut wwaayy down on my salt intake. I went to Mickey D's for lunch, then had broasted chicken from Sammy's and my legs and hands swelled up. I couldn't even touch my thumb and pinky. I think it is going to be a rough 8 months. My mom predicted I would be on bedrest by the end. Yuck! At least my work makes short term and long term disability mandatory, so I don't have to worry about it being too late to sign up for that. The DH's short term disability company said I would be covered under his as well, I wonder how that works?

My mom started her new job on Lake Vermillon today. That is 3 1/2 hours from the cities. She fully expects that the DH and I will leave the cities and move to northern MN, because Aut 3:16 wants to move with her. I don't know what to do.

The crazy sil sent my DH a text yesterday "I will make sure my baby has everything it needs, even if I never see it" psycho! Her baby? What does she think? That her and her brother had a baby and I'm just carrying it because she can't? WTF? Oh well whatever, she just guaranteed that she will never see this baby.

This is AFTER she had called him on Friday telling him how hurt her feelings were because he didn't tell her we were going to have a baby and how she still loves him. He told her that he didn't feel that she did love him because of the lies she has been spreading and how she was booing after the wedding (in the parking lot) and how she tried to get people to boycott the wedding. She denied this of course, my DH told her that several people told him themselves, she wanted to know who said it. He told her it wasn't important. She also denied booing, but he heard her himself! She also told him that he told her kids that they weren't invited to the wedding reception. The DH told both of her kids that they were welcome to go to the reception, IF they went with their grandparents. They went back and forth like that for a while, she denied calling her dad white trash, but the DH said their father told him she said it after not letting him in to give the kids their presents. Finally, she said she just called to say congratulations and she is happy for him, even if she never gets to see the baby because he obviously hates her and then she hung up on him. Unbalanced...

I have slept almost the whole day! I can't believe it.

The people who live in the apartment next door had a horrible burnt plastic smell coming from their apartment. We knocked on their door after the smell started to come into our bedroom. Yuck! That is the bad thing about living in an apartment, you have rely on stupid people like that not to burn the whole place down!

I saw some yummy amazing yarn on the internet today. The Yarn Pirate has a sock club. I want to join. Me! I can barely focus long enough to knit one sock, let alone a second sock. I also want lots of Yarntini and Antonio de la Weasley has a shop with divine sock yarn.

Then I started looking at dyeing my own yarn. I looked up directions for using kool-aid and Wilton's as dye. I can't waint to get started. I wonder if the DH will make me a warping board because I doubt he will want yarn all the way down the hallway.

Halloween

Aut 3:16 waited until last minute to decide on a costume. The night before Halloween, the DH and I grabbed the last three adult male costumes at Target, then went to a different section to email pictures of the costume to Aut. He finally selected the Rock Star Pirate or whatever they called it. I thought it looked like Michael Jackson's jacket from Thriller (except not red). I asked him if he wanted to go as that, but he said no way. I told the DH that he was going to be that, but I just wouldn't tell him.

Aut was out for about an hour before somebody recognized him. He was mad at me at first, but the guy gave him a crap load of extra candy because he loved his costume. After that, Aut had everybody guess what he was and if they didn't know, he had me play Thiller on my phone.

Texas Tech won! Go Guns! Mike Leach is a football genius. What a game ending.

The DH is going to see his nephew play football at the Metrodome tomorrow. His nephew's football team was invited to play at the Vikings practice before the game. Each child gets to bring two adults and they all get to meet the players and will receive free tickets for the game.

I looked all over for my stuff and it was hidden in random places, including the guy's bathroom. I found everything except my Bam Margera picture, turns out he had taken it home with him. He said he was really careful because he knew I would kill him if something happened to it. He did it to get back at me for exchanging all of his stuff with a cubicle on a different floor!

On the way home from work today. The bus rear ended a car that was stopped on the freeway. The bus driver said that the stopped driver was cut off. I was looking down at my phone and didn't notice anything until the driver slammed on the brakes and honked his horn. So, the only thing I saw was the other driver stopped in front of us. We ended up slamming into him. I was sitting at the back of the bus; the force made me fly forward, but I caught the side of the seat in front of me. Nobody was hurt. There was surprising little damage to the car, considering we pushed him pretty hard. My back was a little sore, but it seems okay now.

On a knitting note, I am almost finished with the back of my sweater, just two more rows to go. Then I can do the shoulder seams, neck and sleeves. Yay! I'm so happy. I can't believe I got this far.

Today was a crazy day for the Minnesota Vikings. They scored 41 points and still didn't win. 41 points!!! My beloved Cowboys lost as well and the stupid Green Bay Packers won. I am praying for the Red Sox.

It was a very nice Sunday; I'm not looking forward to tomorrow and having to go back to work. The DH and I went to the hospital this morning and said goodbye to my aunt. It wasn't as hard as I thought it was going to be. I assured her that we would always make sure that my cousin Donna would have family and a place to be. Funny, since she is almost 20 years older than I am, but that is her baby and the one she worries about the most. After that, we went grocery shopping and I made dinner. Deviled Chicken from Martha, baked potatoes and acorn squash with butter and brown sugar (yummm). It turned out well, I tell ya, that Martha really knows what she is doing. I never liked her until she went to jail. She opted to begin serving her sentence before her appeal was up. No crying around for her, even though she was almost a senior citizen. Just did her time, with the same resolve she does everything else. Impressed the hell outta me! Now I think she is the cat's pajamas (or is it the bee's knees? Haha). Whatever, almost our whole wedding registry at Macy's was Martha. I like her stuff better than anything. We got her comforter set. It originally cost $500, but it was on sale for $199. We signed up for a Macy's card and got an additional 15% off and another 20% off for putting it on the card. So the set only cost us around $135. Good thing my mom doesn't read my blog, she'd kill me if she knew we paid that much for it. Hwever, it is the softest, most beautiful blanket ever! We finally had a grown-up looking bedroom with matching curtains and like eight pillows! I want another one to save in case something happens to the one we have now. Oh no, I had better watch out cuz crazy is getting loose!

My Auntie Lois

Tomorrow the doctors are taking my Aunt Lois off of her blood pressure medication at her request. She said her husband has waited for her for a long time and she would like to go be with him now.

She fell a week after our wedding and broke her hip. Her daughter didn't find her until an hour and a half later. They took her to the hospital where she had her first surgery, blood pooled in her hip socket, but on the way to her second surgery, the doctors found infection in her stomach and on her dialysis tube. They took her to surgery right away and tried to remove as much of the infection as they could. They also moved her dialysis to her neck. She already has a pacemaker and problems with low blood pressure and the dialysis in her neck dropped it even lower. She was only 60/30 with the IV blood pressure medication.

She ended up having two more surgeries, the last one being yesterday. The doctors feared she wouldn't live very long after the surgery and even if she did, she still needed at least two more. One to replace the battery in her pacemaker and another to fix the blood still pooling in her hip.

When she woke up tonight, she asked the doctors to call her two daughters. She told them to take her off the blood pressure medication, that she loved them and will miss them, but that she was ready to go.

It is extremely sad but at least it is her decision and nobody has to wonder if they are doing the best thing for her. The doctors said that they are doing everything they can to fight the infection, but it is in her bloodstream now.

Goodbye Auntie Lois. I will tell you what I tell my grandmother all the time.

On to other VERY sad news...My little weasel (Chihuahua) ate the stuffing out of the back of my Adio's. I have looked all over and I cannot find another pair. These were my beloved Bam Margera Heartagrams. They don't make them anymore!!! In fact, Bam doesn't make any shoes anymore! I don't know what I'm going to do. I only have four other pairs of Bam's left. Maybe I should stock up on what shoes are still available. I haven't worn any tennis shoes but Bam's for over 2 years. I'm going to take them to the shoe repair place and see if they can re-line them or something. Otherwise, I may have to re-stuff them and hand sew a patch on the inside. I realize this sounds crazy. I'd offer an excuse, but there isn't one sane enough to justify my feelings of loss.

Family

The DH and I are still having difficulty deciding how to split holidays between our families. We are both close to our parents. Growing up completely different causes even more problems, not to mention that my parents are still angry at his father for things he said before the wedding. That makes it harder to combine our families.

The crazy SIL is now not speaking to her parents, but won't say why. Her parents went over to her house last Wednesday to drop off their grandson's birthday present and she wouldn't open the door for them. Her dad then sat outside her kitchen on the deck and she did the dishes and went about her business then finally went outside and told him to leave. She said that there is too much white trash around and she doesn't want it in her life, so her parents cannot be in her or her children's lives. When my MIL told me this, I almost popped a blood vessel, but I know she isn't talking about me. I'm Native and she is the only white trash I see.

Yay! I was finally able to retrieve my hostage (package) from my apartment building office.

The yarn is super soft. My DH was eyeing it and wondering aloud how it feel all done up in some socks. Needless to say, I will let him know. I LOVE the dishcloths. I just made my first one and was amazed at how well it cleaned. I can't wait to try these. Although, they might be too pretty to actually use on anything dirty. I also got clothing labels, they rock. They have directions for taking care of wool. Oh yeah, I got a nice note from Pseudobunny and some sock thread. Thanks Rachel!

I missed blogging yesterday. We went to pick up the weasel who was visiting almost 4 hours away. Then we stopped at my friends Ricarda's. I had so much fun. I haven't seen her in a while. Before we knew it, it was 2:30 in the morning and Friday was over!

Today, we took Aut 3:16 and his friend to Brunswick Zone. Expensive! The lanes sucked to bowl on. We couldn't even slide. My mom beat me the first game, but I won the other 2. Aut put up a good fight and so did the DH.

Aut 3:16 is 12 today! It's hard to believe that my baby is already 12. We are taking him and two of his friends to Brunswick Zone to celebrate his birthday on Saturday. Today, we are just having dinner with his papa, since his granny is in Branson, Missouri on the Reservation Elder trip (I'd be jealous if it were like New York or something, but Branson? Not so much...)I'll be happy when my mom comes home though. I'll admit it, I'm the baby (okay, okay only one).

Tomorrow, our weasel (chihuahua) comes home. I haven't seen her since September 21. She went home with my Uncle B while we went to Vegas and the DH and I haven't had a day off together to go and get her. Oh yeah, because he hasn't had a day off since we got back! My uncle lives three and a half hours away, but we get to stop in and see my friend Ricarda on the way. I haven't seen her in a long time and she is soooo cool. She is from Austria and her uncle is Horst Rechelbacher. THE FOUNDER OF AVEDA! Her house always smells sooo good because she has Aveda everything, which makes sense, because like, her entire family works there.

Anyway, I think I am coming down with a cold. My throat started hurting today. Oh no! Time to bust out the Zicam. Really, this stuff works. Norm Coleman told my friend and I about it back when I worked for The Salvation Army. He said it is because he has to shake a lot of hands. Makes sense to me.

I get another chance to blog everyday this weekend for NaBloPoMo. Let's see how I do. Wish me luck...

NaBloPoMo is hard! I don't think my life is interesting enough to blog everyday!

Aut 3:16 and his grandfather decided to go to Cloquet today. Unfortunately, they forgot to take his insulin. They were over an hour away before they realized it was still sitting on the dining room table where I put it last night. They didn't want to come all the way home, so they called me and asked what they could do. Could do?!?! He is an almost 12-year-old boy who has to take insulin EVERY time he eats, but how do you tell your parent how to...well...parent? Of course they didn't have his insurance card. After a very long and frantic morning, I finally got the tribal clinic up there to agree to give him some insulin and the reservation he is from is picking up the tab. Crazy!

I still don't want to be at work this week. I think I will take Friday off, since my DH is not scheduled to work finally (today is his 8th day in a row and he has 2 more days).
